It rained throughout the night of 19/20 February in Chamba town, once again raising my hopes for a snowfall. However, this time too, the snow remained confined to higher altitude.
On the morning of 20th, I saw the rain water resting like small shiny balls on the broad leaf of a poppy plant in the garden. Since most of us are generally drawn to this spectacle, I'm no exception. So I grabbed the camera and took a couple of shots. Here is one of them.
Hope you like it.

Thanks for visiting.

Hi Ram,

They really do look like Pearls, wonderful composition, pin sharp with beautiful colours, very nicely done, all the best.

Cheers Rick :)

Hallo Ram
Really a beautiful and artistic image. The image as a whole has great impact on the eye, and the contrast between the green of the leave and the shine of the water is magic. It is not always the insects, birds or mammals that make nature so special, even the basic things like water drops in the shapes of pearls makes nature not only special but adds a definite magic to it.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards

Hello Ram,
I just had a look at your last postings, all very interesting. I especially enjoyed the view on your native place! This one I like for its simplicity and the beautiful composition you made out of it. It looks like a pearl-collar and I would say that it is more beautiful than every hand-made one. Very fine and artistic picture.
Have a nice weekend

Every so often I get "luck" enough to get this kind of image straight on as you did here..it is some kind of magic though and while it looks "easy" to do I can assure those who have tried, it is not...for one reason or another it simply doesn't work. this however is a good example of how it looks when it does work!

Hello Ram !
What a wonderful row of pearls, they really look like jewels - more beautiful than anything men have ever done with their hands. I really like the sharpness and details, the coposition, the vivid colors, and the play of light on the droplets. You did not have snow, but this is just as beautiful, I would say. Very well done !

Hi Mr. Ram,
A nice capture of these beautiful pearl like water drops on poppy plant leaf. Excellent DOF, very good composition and sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Well, these look more like a group of rock crystal beads to me Ram, but surely the close up is a beautiful one, and the resulting composition a pleasant one indeed! TFS this micro-scene my friend.

This reminds me of Sabine's pictures with all those dew drops and this picture is also very good. The diagonal position of those drops takes the viewers interest from left to right and those diffused parts of the image makes sure the interest is on the water drops. Truly a creative image Ram.

Hello again Sir,
Snowfall is one of the most longed-for things in life for me.And i have never been lucky to see one.I remember visiting Dehradun for a conference from Dec 23-26 years ago and found myself focussed more on praying that there should be snowfall before i left town. But it didnt work. When i visted Shimla it was in early March. And braving the anger of my tired husband we drove for 4 hrs beyond Narkhanda to find a tiny village just because i wanted to see if not snowfall, a snowladen hillslope atleast.

This is a very aesthetic capture. It is that moment that is of interest to you... when you see a little thing of nature and suddenly your senses are heigtened as you see it through a different perspective.I love the PoV here. The water droplets look every bit like glittering beads and the green leaf on which they rest look bright and fresh bathed in the lovely morning sun.The arrangement of the water beads is amazing ..as if someone just took out a dropper and carefully measured out a drop each in this fashion.Your macro lens make every bit of detail on the leaf stand up.Very original shot that is pleasing to the eyes.

TFS and Cheers
