[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my 4th upload in last 7 days and I am so happy being active here in Treknature. It feels like the good old days when i used to post more then 15 images every month.

The butterfly posted here is Graphium doson also known as The Common Jay. I have taken several shots of the tailed jay but was never able to shoot this beautiful butterfly but luck favoured me and i got some decent captures of this butterfly.

This image has been taken with Nikon D 80 along with Sigma 150 mm macro lens. the image has been taken handheld. Cropping framing and necessary editing done before final presentation.

Information about Graphium doson from wikipedia:

The Common Jay (Graphium doson) is a black, tropical papilionid butterfly with pale blue semi-transparent central wing bands that are formed by large spots. There is a marginal series of smaller spots. The underside of wings is brown with markings similar to upperside but whitish in color.

It is widespread and common throughout Southeast Asia, including lower elevations in Sri Lanka and Southern India, Eastern Ghats, Satpuras, Bengal and Assam, and the Himalayan foothills.

Hi Pankaj.
What a nice butterfly. You are luck photographer. And you so skill photographer as you have pictured it so amazingly. Superb lowest POV, terrific reproduction of the wonderful colouration of the insect and extreme sharpness and details. Surroundings (its colouration) are great for this beauty. My warm greetings.

Your Common Jay is a joy to behold Pankaj, its pin-sharp image in rich detail is very well displayed against the OOF, abstract BG. Thanks for sharing this fine image with us my friend.

Hello Pankaj,
Happy to read that you feel again well on TN and show us excellent pictures like this one. This is one of the most beautiful butterflies of the world with wings like stained glass and you managed to get a shot with a background reflecting perfectely the colors of the wings. I would be very happy if one day I could see this beauty flying around in its natural surrounding.
Thanks and best regards
Anne

This picture is so original and different, very beautiful, Pankaj. First, the colours are stunning, I just love this turquoise colour where the butterfly stands. And the butterfly itself is a jewel and you took the perfect pose to show it. Second, the very low pov brings us closer to the butterfly's scale and view of the world. Thank you, superb,

Francine
