It must have been the Finches special colours for St Patrick's Day yesterday....as this couple of House Finches 'appear' to have meet secretly in the air. It was a rather rare catch for me...and it was also somewhat discreet and they were heavily back lit in order to give them the privacy a man and his spouse should have...

It seems to be kissing time on TN, so many lovely pictures of kisses and hugs, starting with the chipmunks of Silpa, the birds of Ram... and now your finches kissing in the air, that is real cute and what a good timing, Bob. Thanks for this, it is imprinted in my mind! That's Spring!

Technically this may have its shortcomings but its a great mid-air capture of a pair of House-finches. The side lighting against a blue sky is great.
Whether their attitudes are amorous of beligerent is open to speculation but its a fine capture Bob!
Thanks,
Ivan

Wowww.... a hand held capture but very impressive Bob! You captured a lovely momentof this pair in-love MF. TFS this beautiful image and also your kind words once more.
All the best!

Hi Bob.
Panasonic is not the best tool for this kind of photography. However, you managed to catch an amazing and rare scene. I think every wild photographer would be happy to get such action shot. My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.

Nicely done Bob! Thanks for sharing! I'm not sure if I have ever seen a shot like that one... anyways how have you been? Thanks for sharing. Cheers Josh Lewis.

Ahhh... love springs eternal... it gives flight to my soul... :)

Bob, WoW waiting for an opportunity and then sizing the correct loctaion. Excellent shot. Were you expecting such things to happen or just coincidence Ganesh

Hi Bob
Wow, what timing. Great job!! Very cool capture of the Finches.
Hope all is well,TFS, And thanks,Bob for your very nice comments. I just fond out that there mite be some changes at the refuge. The hunters wont to take more of the land from the wild life refuge for hunting on. That would make some big changes to a,in my eyes a pretty amazing place. We are hoping the vote,to leve as is,is the one.
Take care,
Tom

Bob,
Delightfully LOVELY.
These fellows are back here in Calgary. Shall post soon. Note the DATE OF REGISTERATION, please!!! They are making a nest again within our Emerald Cedar trees in the front yard. What a bounty again!!!
Spring is supposed to be back.... where is it???

Hello Bob,
I love when birds do this dance, the horned larks are doing this all the time in the last few days. I haven't been able to come close to capturing it as well as you have done here. Thank you for sharing My friend.
