Good picture Christian. The detail and DoF are excellent and you've handled the black of hte beetle very well. My only (small) niggle is two feet have been excluded.

Nice, good exposure on the blacks. Two things to try. get down on your tummy to really be on his level. and try some fill flash or reflector card - white - to get some light below his abdomen. & whach for cutting off toes!

The contrasting colours are nice. Browns, black and green adds to effect. Just enough light on back, nicely done. Thanx for sharing.

Nice detailed picture christian, Callie has it right for future picture taking, I would add the antenae to the missing bits. the notes are correct if a little brief, but still a god capture they move at quiet a pace being a hunter.

Good macro shot - lots of detail. You seem to have lost some of his feet but have done well to photograph the black. Well done.

This must be one of the bigger coleopters, it looks like a rhino charging through the bushland ;-)) Nice and sharp capture with good DOF, but mind Callies advice about cropping off feet ;-)

Appréciation personnelle pour la photo: excellente. Il manque quelques millimètres pour la patte en bas vers la droite, puis celle de derrière n'est pas complète, puis il y a ce brin d'herbe agaçant... ;-)
Pouvoir d'évocation en moi: énorme.
Impact visuel: très fort.
Pertinence de la photo pour le site: excellente.
Appréciation personnelle pour la note: bonne.
