[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Wood Duck, Mallard Duck

During my trip to Canada I had to stop at the George C. Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta for some serious birding. A pair of Wood Ducks and hundreds of Mallards greeted us at the entrance, if you love birds and if you have a chance to go to Vancouver this is the place to go!

My favorite kind of duck: the wood duck.

Hi Everton,

Such a cute pair. I would LOVE to see a Wood Duck some day. His colors are so beautiful and the details are razor sharp. The red eye is wonderful.

Hi Everton;
Wood ducks are exotic indeed, but lady mallards are sort of ordinary. One of the challenges of bird photography is to try and not take pics of them on the ground - never works well. Now I know that the philosophy of the Trek sites is only to be highly complimentary, so I hope these comments are OK with you. I'm glad that you enjoyed Reifel here in British Columbia.
All the best,
