Gala and Corella
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I am walking along the Loddon river, Bridgewater on the Loddon, Victoria Australia.
It's dusk and the Corellas and Galas have swept in from the farm lands to drink and squark wildly. There are 100's, flying, landing, drinking, squarking, squabbling, flying, landing and then suddenly flying of to some quiet spot for the night. All is then quiet along the river again until the early morning light and they start again. Just before they fly off I look up to see two pick Galas not too welcome amid a bunch of corellas, |

Beautiful capture, I love the details on the galah on the wing. I might have been tempted to clone out the very oof branch in the top of the picture, but this one surely makes me want to go back to Oz for some birdwatching :-)
