Hello my Friends!
This time something new and (I hope) a little more exotic :)

This is Bell's Dabb Lizard known also as North African Spiny-tailed Lizard (in Polish:biczogon afrykanski) - Uromastyx acanthinura Bell, 1825 (Agamidae), one of 17 species of this genus known in the world fauna, and the only one recorded from Morocco.

Distribution: N Africa: Morocco (incluging Western Sahara), Algeria, Tunisia, and Lybia

Size: up to 40 cm

Colouration: variable, from almost green to grey

Habitat: desert areas with stones and rocks

Conservation status: near threathened category of IUCN list

Specimen was photographed after almost 1 hour of "camera-hunting" on the rocks near the dry river.

And last but not least, I would like to dedicate this reptile picture our very good Friend and also herptile specialist Bayram (boreocypriensis) :>

Hi Radomir . What a fantastic looking Lizard. I am sure Bayram will love this dedication . You have taken this from a good POV so we can see the whole of the dragon. You have taken good detail from its tail to its nose. with natural colours. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi MF Radek,
i am honoured to have such beautiful dedication. Thanks a lot for this great; perfectly composed and focused image. A real natural gem for me.
You made me happy although i have sadly mood since my mother is heavily ill -thus i will fly to London tommorrow to see her. The image of this desertal beauty is sharp with excellent details, the scales look clear and beautiful, the composition is pleasing and the eye contact looks great. Very well done and thanks a lot once more MF!,
Greetings from Izmir,
Take care!

Hello Radomir,
A very fine capture of a N. African Spiny-tailed Lizard (acanthinura means spiny-tailed).
The POV in its natural habitat, pose and sharpness contribute to make this an excellent portrait of a species that I have never seen before. A fine and suitable dedicatiob to or expert herpetologist friend on TN Bayram.
Thanks and best regards. I look forward to hearing about your plans to visit Fennoscandia.

Witaj Radku,
Widze ciekawy okaz a szczegolnie jego ogon w naturalnym otoczeniu. Ciekawie spoglada w obiektyw.

Hi Radomir,
All this a monster lizard, excellent POV, very "rock" the result achieved with the outlet, which clearly conveys the character of the animal.
Regards and TFS!

Bonjour Radomir,
It's rather a special creature! It was worth to hunt it during an hour! Interesting shape and the tail is very artistically shaped. Well framed picture, very natural and beautiful earth-colors.
Something precious for TN-archives.
Merci
