The Broad-bodied Chaser - male..
from Wikipedia
The Broad-bodied Chaser, Libellula depressa, is a European dragonfly. The approximate wing-span of the broad-bodied chaser is 70 millimeters. It is mainly found in Wales and Southern England, active between the months of May and August. The female has a brown abdomen with two yellow stripes. The male has a pale blue abdomen. Because of the male's pale blue abdomen, they can be confused with the Black-tailed Skimmer, or Orthetrum cancellatum. Both the male and female broad-bodied chasers have dark brown, triangular patches at the base of all four wings.Their flight is very fast as they dart and dive above the water looking for food and fighting away rival males and any other dragonflies they happen to encounter. They characteristically return to a favoured perch, in the sun. They can be hard to get close views of but if seen near some woodland they may allow you to observe them.

Very good diagonal composition, fine colors and details. tfs.

Witam Pawle!
Fajna fotka samca wazki plaskobrzuchej. Typowa poza i dobra kolorystyka sprawia, ze fajnie sie oglada zdjecie. Mam jednak wrazenie, ze albo bylo troche za mocno skadrowane, albo lekko przesadzone jest wyostrzanie :)

Hi Pawel.
I do not meet this species in our place. It is amazing and you have reproduced all its charming features excellently. Wonderful composition of the picture, great DOF and details of all parts of the insect. I also love impressive sunlight and vivid colours. Perfect work and kind wishes.

Hello Pawel,
It's not often we spot the male L. depressa here but today I managed to get the female.
Your capture is excellent showing sharp details and natural colours. A fine composition too.
TFS and have a nice weekend, Ulla
