[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's a newly emerged damselfly (Common Blue I think) which I photographed a few days ago with the Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro and Canon MT-24EX Twin Lite.
Like yesterday's post, this is also a focus-stacked image made from two photos focused on slightly different areas of the photo.

I hope you like it!

A very nice photo. I liked it very much!

Hi Joey i envy Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro and Canon MT-24EX Twin Lite, there is not a similar system in nikon and the alternatives like lens reversal are difficult to use in the fld.
Its nice to note that you are back to posting and this is super macro and composting rocks!!!!

Hello Joe, very nice effort seen on this one, with excellent results. I've stacked photos for light but never for focus; this is something I'm going to have to try for myself.

Thanks, enjoyed! John

One more excellent shot!

Hello Joe
Another amazing macro shot. Excellent details and perfect focus. Well done.

Hello Joe,

I admired how to refine your technique of combining images with slight variations in the angle of capture. I congratulate you, quite simply, the 3D effect is superb. It seems that the eyes of insects are going to jump from the center of the frame.

Ciao Joe, superb portrait with fantastic details, and splendid sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Focus-stacked imagery is not an easy technique, but you have mastered it with great dexterity, Joe.
This macro of a damselfly's eyes is once again a fantastic creation that you have managed with extraordinary skill and confidence.
Jai Ho!

Hi Joe,
Now we all know that you are back! The perfect quality is on TN again. Your combination of technique and taste of beauty is unique! Be proud of it. Thanks and go on!

All things considered....as these things pass me all day and even my own eyes cannot focus on them...plus add that I cannot get within 5 feet and they dissipate....makes this magic!

HELLO Joey, My first comment after a long long time. Still busy with my SAP Project. But just want to wish you a very happy Birthday.

Hi Joe,
You seem to have perfectly mastered the art of macro. I think your stacked shots are some of the best I've seen.
Did you ever check out Goshinsky on Flickr?
That new guy Alistair has some great shots too.
Great work mate.
ps .... Your book is in the post :)
