[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tropical Mockingbird (Mimus gilvus)

Here is the cousin of the Mockingbird I posted Yesterday.

Note:

is a resident breeding bird from southern Mexico south to northern Brazil, and in the Lesser Antilles and other Caribbean islands. The birds in Panama and Trinidad may have been introduced. The Northern Mockingbird (M. polyglottos) is its closest living relative, but the critically endangered Socorro Mockingbird (M. graysoni) is also much closer to these two than previously believed.

An excellent capture of a Tropical Mockingbird
+: Sharpness, DOF, pose, POV with excellent eye-contact, BG, composition, colours and lighting.
-: none, it's a great portrait of a species that I have seen in Trinidad and Tobago
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hello Everton,

Beautiful photo, very clean, excellent contact with the eye of the bird and cut right to it provides a composition that goes beyond what is common.

Thanks for publishing the scientific name (although it would be desirable to accompany the photo with a more explicit note, and make it a useful post). Here in Venezuela we also have these birds do not know his cientific name.

Greetings and thanks for sharing.

Jesús

Hi Everton,
In this photo, including
I've looked at other photos and I like it. Very clear and very clean birds, especially in this frame. Congratulations.
Can I ask you something?
When taking photos using the bird from the lens; ((Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM)) is satisfied with it.
Enough performance to attract birds?
Because I think this lens to get the same ...
Take care of yourself ...
Salih

I wonder!
What a lovely shot, mate!
I especially love the beautiful eye and the POV, overall!
Bravo!

Hi Everton.
Very charming picture of a nice bird. I like impressive soft lighting, delicate colours of the bird plumage and BG, pleasant "art" sharpness/details of the bird image and stone, calm glance and pose of the pictured character. Very pleasant for look shot. Best regards and TFS.
Alexei.

Hola Luis,
