[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a commonly seen spider in the grasses in Malaysia. This one could stay foe sometimes and allow me to use my tripod to shoot him.
Grass spiders, a type of funnel weaver, are common outdoors and are occasionally found indoors. They are generally brownish or grayish with light and dark stripes near the head. They have long spinnerets and are moderate-sized (3/4 inch long). Grass spiders construct a large sheet web with a funnel they use as a retreat. These webs are commonly built on the ground, around steps, window wells, foundations, and low shrubs.

Hello Foozi,
A nice macro of this common spider that reminds me of some that we have here with similar colouring and patterns. Technically of high quality and taken from a good dorsal POV that shows it up well against the leaves.
Thanks and all the best,

Hi Foozi.
You have shared a very impressive spider shot. Pictured specimen as well as surrounding leaves are wonderful. Details and exceptional and colours are sweet. I have many spider shots but only pictures of goldenrod spiders are lovely to me. Yours is excellent. My kind regards.

Hi Foozi

A very good picture, good focus, even with the very opening of 1/32 and a fairly long exposure. All details were recorded so superb. Excellent technical mastery.

Cioa Foozi. Really a macro well composed and where th light exalt the colours of the spyder.

Hello Foozi,
What seems to me very interesting besides the spider, is this amazing gathering of different leaves crossing each other at their end. Each has another green and other shape and patterns. Makes the composition very special. However the colours seem a little too much saturated. But that is just my opinion.
Thanks a lot and kind regards

Hello Foozi

Hello Foozi,

Good details in the insect!
The centered composition works well, thanks to the diverse lines created by the background...
Fine close-up work, and the fresh green enhance the spider well!
