[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These two black-chinned hummingbirds were not getting along! For some reason, each bird assumed the feeder was his, and therefore did not have to share.

They dived each other, knocked one another off the feeder, spent time chasing each other away - all the while burning more energy could have been put to better use by agreeing to simply share the food.

They were like kids and I was reminded of the many times when my brothers and myself would 'tattle' or complain 'Mom, he/she touched me' followed by a slap (by mom...).

These hummers are graceful - but also extremely greedy! Had I been their parent, I would have made them touch wings for an hour while telling them to 'get over it' - but alas, their parent, I am not!

What excellent timing, Kathy!
This is a superb shot!

Hello Kathy,

You have capture a great moment!

Great sharpness of the hummingbird in motion, especially the eye and the beak are intersting to watch. Wonderful POV and DOF, nice way of showing the scale of the picture. Very well done!

thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla
