[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For once we have had a dry Sunday with warm sunshine. So i went to the local nature reserve to see what i could find. Just the usual birds and Butterflies alomg with this Rabbit which was in the area of the woodland hide. As i have not taken one before i thought i would post it.

Rabbit ( Oryctolagus cunniculus ) Body Length 35-40cm.

Introduced in the middle ages the Rabbit is now a common countryside mammal.
They are often numerous enough to cause serious damage to crops and natural vegetation.
Lives socially in extended warrens.
Most active from dawn to dusk.
Found in most lowland areas of Britain and Ireland.

sharpness and details are really great, would not expect less from the 70-200mm-lens, love the big brown eye.

Hi Nick,

I love your Rabbit who must be having a feast surrounded by all the greens. His colors and coat are wonderful but I absolutely LOVE the eye. Our cottontails aren't so lucky - they have to search for leaves and plants. Did I say beautiful shot?

I am sure that it would be difficult to capture a rabbit's picture, Nicholas. Is not it? They are very alert and shy away from humans. You managed to get an excellent shot with very good sharpness - the details near the eyes are impressive.

Very good shot taken by surprise. Rabbit looks like ready to long jump and fast escape. I like its vigilant pose and big, shinning eye. Also, composition with lots of fresh plants around animal looks very nice.
