[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot of a common grasshopper was taken in the society backyard.Today morning I chanced upon this subject when exploring the undergrowth. It was a cloudy day as usual with occassional sunshine breaking through the clouds often.I waited for the right moment to shoot when the clouds opened. The window of opportunity lasted for a few seconds after which there was a shower.I am quite satisfied I got the shot with enough light to illuminate the subject.
This is a very common grasshopper and found in variety in gardens near human settlements. This one was particularly patient and quite stubborn to move inspite of being aware of my presence and thus, gave me good shots.

Namastay, Ravish!

Wonderful macro shot of the grasshopper!

It looks so adorable and natural. The eyes and legs are just the best parts of your picture along with the textures on the body. The sharpness is well controlled and the POV is very interesting too. Good job!

Thanks for sharing!

Ola Ravish,
Forte abraço do sul do Brasil!
