What a wonderful sense of freedom and open space... peace and beauty.
Especially meaningful for those of us who just embarked on another school year!
Love the fuzzy texture of the meadow against the hardness of the mountains.
I don't know how you do it, but you have a knack for framing your scenery in the most effective way.

Hi Evelynn
Another fantastic view from the ever so colorful Rainier :)
Wow...those wildflowers are indeed amazing and even though you didn't catch the best weather possible, the brought such a plethora of tones and colors to the scene that it almost doesn't matter.
Composition-wise, i really love this shot: the flowery pasture here creates like a runway that pints to the mountains in the back. The entire FG is bright area that leads the eye straight to those impressive peaks in the distance, while being framed by the beautiful dark trees.
It's a big shame you had to go as far as ISO 800 on this one :( I don't know how great the 500D handles it, bit can't be that great since it's a smaller body. At this resolution, you've lost some details (especially in the mountains) probably to noise reduction, but i'm only hoping that the noise reduction will work better on the large file so that it would still make a lovely large print one day...the view deserves it!
Bravo, TFS and have a wonderful weekend
Horia
Beautiful work Evelynn, I've always enjoyed your landscapes immensely.
Looks like Canon's coming out with a 7D soon, @ 18mp on the APS-C sensor..
New Digic IV processor too.
They're always takin' it up a notch :)

Hi Evelynn,
That is a huge bed of flowers and the mix is great. I like how it is shapped in a tri-angle poiting toward the mountains in the back. This photo really shows that you didn't have good weather but you did make the best out of it.

Niek
