[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Southern White Rhino (Ceratotherium simum simum) photographed at Whipsnade wild animal park.
I think they look a little un-natural grazing on british grass as I'm so used to seeing them out in the dry brush on TV documentaries, but they do naturally eat grass, as you can see from the information below.

General info, courtesy of whipsnade.co.uk:
Animal Facts:
The name of this rhino has no connection with the colour of its skin, but is a mis-translation of the Afrikaans word ‘weit’, meaning wide; white rhinos have a large, square mouth, well suited to grazing short grass. This is the largest and most social of the five rhino species and, like all rhinos, is very short-sighted, but has an excellent sense of smell.
Where they live:
Southern Africa.
Open grassland and dry savanna.
What they eat:
Short grass.

White Rhino on the british grass looks very good, reminds me a cow actually, but african Ostrich on the snow - that is a view. That often happened in Poland. We have here many farms where these animals are kept.
The photo is great, has perfect POV and composition, superb light and the model is really beautiful.
I like it wery much.

Hee Andy,

Wow, you have been busy lately! This is a very good picture. It has a crisp and clear touch (must be the L) and it looks very sharp. I really like it. Details are sharp and the exposure is spot on. I like the colors too. I would have been tempted to clone out the rock in the topright, but then again ... why would you? You should be proud of this picture! Pose of the Rhino is also perfect. How close were you? Well done & TFS!

Hello Andy! This is very good, it has excellent sharpness, details, colors and light with a great POV. I like the distant rhino in your BG, it adds some interest. Well done!
