Well i've just returned from a very nice and interesting trip to a part of Romania that i've never visited before and to some mountains that are indeed worth visiting.

The place is called Ceahlău Massif and it is located in the Eastern Carpathians chain, in Neamţ County, in the Moldavia region.
This is a view from the top, right between it's two highest peaks - Toaca (1904 m altitude) and Ocolaşul Mare (1907m altitude). The cliffs you see on the left side are called Detunatele, right behind them is the Bicaz Lake and the small village that you see down there, right in the sunny part (you'll have to look really well for that) was our starting point for our hike on Saturday. We managed to get to the top in about 5 and a half hours, after some really steep slopes and big gasps for air, but the views for there were absolutely worth it.

This entire region hosts some incredible potential for natural photography and i can't wait to go back, in a longer trip, and exploit it :)

Hope you'll like it and thanks for visiting.

Salut Horia,
excelent peisajul oferit astazi.
Am fost si acum multi ani pe acele locuri.
Foarte buna si descrierea oferita.
O seara buna,
Adrian

Hi Horia,
I've been almost there ( in Tirgu Neamţ), on bicycle! Now I realize I missed a great part (Ceahlău). I perfectly agree with you, the region is interesting, absolutely worth visiting. Your landscape view is excellent, the clouds, the far away mountain range, the rocks, the sun and the shadows. Thanks for this, Horia.
Best regards
Dietrich

Hi Horia,

This is an awesome landscape with wonderful greenery all around! The colors are sharp and the POV is wonderfully chosen. The cloudy sky (full of mood) adds another feather to your crown. I like the vertical cliff on the left side of the picture. A very well seen composition!

thanks and regards,
Paras

Buna Horia,

Frumos surpins peisajul, foarte clar, imi place.
Un sincer "TFS"
Toate cele bune, Oana

Hello Horia,
Great landscape and photo. The perspective is very well chosen, also your POV. Excellent composition, the clouds in it and beautiful natural colours.

Hello Horia,
What a beutiful mountain landscape. Fromthis point is visible huge area with ecellent moutains and forests. I want there to be. Very good composition.
Regards, Pawel

Hi Horia,
I really love the distant hazy view. The many layers of the mountains are nicely fading away into the sky. The view also gives a great idea of how untouched this are is. You controlled the light pretty good, the one hot spot on the cliff is far from distracting.
As for the composition, It is great as it is, but my thoughts go to the top of the white cliff. It might have looked better if it had been intersecting the horizon. I think it would have created more depth and a more creative look. But as said, it is great as it is.
TFS,
Niek
