[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The somewhat unorthodox picture has been taken during an excursion together with Markus on top of the Wandflue (2'133 m. a.s.l.) in Canton Fribourg. Unorthodox because I used a compact camera ("Plastiktruckli"), the zoom lens was in tele position, the camera supported on a rock. And I am a bloody neophyte in landscape photography.

The view is towards SSE, with the Bernese Alps in front, the Valais alps further back. Beneath the fog would be Gstaad. To the right at the horizon, the Matterhorn (4'478 m. a.s.l.) raises in Toblerone fashion. With the menu "Map/ View" you can locate my position.

The picture is dedicated to Markus (Heaven). Not only did he lead me to this magic place but he also did so with a hurting haunch on Oct. 27 that on October 28 has been replaced by a new one in the hospital. I imagine that Markus will climb even steeper summits with his brand new haunch!

Hello Dietrich
amazing picture for a beautiful switzerland landascape. Great atmosphere with a perfect light management giving excellent colors and details.

Hallo Dieter!

Hello Dietrich,
You made the best with this compact camera. The DOF is very good. And the landscape is well composed, with huge rocks on the foreground. Nice present to Markus and I hope he will recover soon! Best regards,

Hi Dietrich.
I also feel that Markus was next to you. You managed to create and shot at Marcus's manner. It is really majestic place and picture is reflects the beauty of the mountains perfectly. I also hope that all will be OK with Markus and we will se its new mountain landscape shot soon. Well done and kind regards to both of you.

Hi Dietrich,
It is great to see you stepped out of your comfort zone and into the zone of Markus. The zoom effect on this photo is great and flattened the perspective nicely without loosing the idea of your high position. I really love what I see beyonf the rocks. The soft color and texture of the lower mountains look very friendly while the higher snow covered peak have the good roughness to it. The photo is well exposed with good detail and lighting.

What a great landscape!
The mountains are great colored!

Hallo Dietrich
This is a very beautiful landscape and it is a pleasure to look at it. To me it has an atmosphere of spotlessness and purity. It looks so clean and fresh. The snow comes across so smooth, almost as if a container of icing sugar was turned over from the sky and dropped on the mountains. The light is really great and the overall view is stunning. A great dedication to a special gentleman of the site. Best regards

Hi Dietrich
