[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of a pair of lilies bought at last years "Neepawa Lily Festival" in Neepawa Manitoba.
Neepawa is in the central part of the province and holds a lily festival every year. We bought two last year and replanted them in our back yard. They have survived the winter and unusually soggy spring/summer.
I shall post the other one tomorrow. This was taken with natural light and hand held using the LC-1 in the MACRO setting and the lens at full 90mm.

Beautiful flower, sharp focus and dramatic light, John. There are a few problems with this shot, however. The lighting is also a problem since the camera cannot handle the contrast leading to overexposed areas on the petals. Filtering the light slightly or underexposing the shot would take care of this. The focal point of the shot is too centered. I posted a workshop to change the composition somewhat.
