This is not a pleasant picture but it is a truth in life. With flower plants around the place, this is the unfortunate one.

Hi Jitti

Such is life. The butterfly thought it was going to get a tasty meal from the flowers, but then it became a tasty meal for some hidden arachnid. Eat or be eaten – the law of nature.

You managed to capture the strands from the spider's web very clearly. Good natural colours and the BG is well isolated. Maybe the DOF was a little shallow as the tips of the wings appears somewhat softish. But otherwise good work.

Well spotted and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hi Jitti,

A dramatic picture, good concept and good technique!

Hi Jitti,
a little sad, yes - but every life will end some day - and a spider will be happy right at that moment.
Thanks, I like it

Well focused at the head where it must be Jitti, you've shown natures way as it must be.
We all identify with life, but seldom acknowledge death.
No matter, it has a way of finding us when/where we least expect it..
It's called "truth in life" as you've so aptly stated it.

Hello Jitti
it's pity for this beautiful butterfly captured in a spiderweb but it's nature,
his head is well focused
wonderfull green BG and lovely composition
Have a good night
Jacqueline

Hello Jitti,
Yes,life is not always easy, not even for insects!
Too bad to see this poor butterfly hanging in this spider web. Next time you show us one in a better condition :-)!
Kind regards. Take care.
Anne

Hello JC,

It is the law of nature, that can be laid out like something saying like Eat or be eaten..!
A good documentary, even if most like to see a dying (or dead) butterfly...
Well framed with good details!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Jitti.
I have never met such scenes. It is really rare and dramatic. However, you have captured it very well. Lights, colours (especially colouration of the BG) are excellent.
My kin regards and TFS.
Alexei.

Hello Jitti,
A fine capture of one of the facts of life!
The spider that has captured this satyrid butterfly does not appear to have sucked up its juices yet as the body seems quite fresh. Nice sharpness, BG and composition.
Thanks and kind regards,
Ivan

another butterfly, victim of spider...
image that shows the hard life in nature

well captured,Jitti
