Look for whitish streaks on the head and pale bill.
A low-pitched, fluty poo-poh, poo-poh.
Frequents dry, open woodlands with scrub, long grass and some larger trees. Often found in coastal areas and around cultivation and plantations. Avoid closed forests. It feeds on fruits low in the trees. It nests in a tree cavity.
Uncommon resident and breeder throughout the island.
