This time with closed wings.

Boloria pales and also the similar species B. napaea are fast flying butterflies inhabiting alpine meadows. They like to visit yellow flowers and are usually very busy. In the situation shown they are, however, most suitable models for phtography.

Species information
Boloria pales is found in higher mountain regions all over Europe, i.e. Pyrenees, Alps, Apennines, Tatra, Carpathians, Rila and Pirin Mountains. The foodplant of the caterpillar is Viola calcarata.

Location
Upper Martell-Valley in the North-Italian Alps. Alpine Meadow between Peder- and Lyfi-Valley at about 2300 m.

- slight wind only

Beautiful picture. The yellow flower gives it a little special.
The butterflys are beautiful of sharpness with great sharpness.

Ein sehr schönes Moor-Perlmutterfalter Duo auf der gelben Wiesenblume (Bocksbart?)schaukelnd und das Leben geniessend. Sehr nätürliches und erfreuliches Bild.

I never get tired of seeing these incredible combinations of art, technical and documentation that your post in TN. Another example of determination and mystical! thanks for these photos. In this case shows a waste of focus, very natural colors and excellent handling of light incidence.
