another dip back into my archives as i am ruefully looking back to summer months when the weather was alot warmer and the days alot longer.
This particular shot was taken during an evenings' raid on the wild Blackberry and Sloe bushes that grow along the cliff tops here. It was a bit early in what turned out to be a superb season for wild fruit, so the pickings weren't that great.
The sunset though, as i remember it was beautiful, although the weather did not hold any promise until about half and hour before sun down, when the cloud broke up and the sky turned a wonderful bluish pink, the result here probably aided a touch by the Cokin Filters i was using at the time, which always cast a slightly magenta hue. This time they worked in my favour!
Luckily i never go anywhere without my camera though, so i ran back to the car, grabbed my gear and went down onto the beach...

Thanks for looking..

Hello Paul,
I see we are neighbours this time, but I would have recognised this as one of yours without seeing your name!
The cloud colours are amazing and I like the perspective and composition but maybe the bit at the very bottom could have been left out (the opinion of an inexperienced landscape photographer for what it's worth)
Thanks and all the best,

Wonderful colors and reflections. Excellent composition, the sknow seem sto shine a light, and the reddish color is wonderful. Congratulations!

Hi Paul!

It was a good idea to dip into your archives and to grab out this superb picture. Your usual low point of view creates a great depth of view and perspective. From my very personal point of view the foreground is even more attractive than the horizon... I would like to cut the picture at 2 thirds!

Kind regards

Hi Paul

A lovely shot with the predominant blue hues throughout the image and the fluffy pink
clouds creating wonderful visual stimulus. Great proportions and positioning all aligned
with the suggestion rules for compositions with the horizon at the top 1/3 vertical line
and the big rock at the bottom on the lower 1/3 line. The little pool at the bottom succeed
to draw the eyes into the frame and keep it busy while investigating and discovering all
the interesting goodies (rocks, twigs, water, reflections, etc.). I cannie figure out what it
is on the top of the mount though.

Well done MF and TFS.

Another of your superb captures, rich in tonal quality and exposed to perfection. Would love to learn how you post process Paul. Composition and lighting is fantastic.

So wonderful, Paul, it's a fantastic place and your lens is doing magical work, I love it, thanks

Mate, this is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I really love everything about it and i can't even begin to tell you how well you did to take your camera with you :)
The timing here was exceptional as the small clouds that were left, together with the clean air and the beautiful moon as a nice addition created the perfect light conditions for this type of shot.
You also chose your composition very wisely - with excellent FG elements as the big boulder and the interesting algae (that create a high contrast zone here that attracts a lot of attention) as well as the good placement of the far tower.
The reflection and see-through level was also well managed - getting the best of both.
And one more thing here: for this photo, the black frame works Splendid! Much better than in your last photos here on TN (which also look ok), but here this frame really enhances the overall feel and look of this image.
Wonderful work, mate! Truly wonderful!

Bravo and TFS

PS: if by any chance you think you might get away for our Scotland trip but are unsure of the money, i'd be more than happy to return the favor by saying "what's a couple of hundreds between friends" (just like you said it) if that will help you come along.

Hi Paul,

This is another great landscape picture. The colours are beautiful, the detail is great and it is very well composed. I really like the interesting foreground and reflection in the rock pool.
Great capture and TFS

Hi Paul,
This is a real beauty and when I say "real" I mean it.I`m starting to see too many fake (polite)critiques here, this site is no exception from the other sisters. Whatever...nothing is perfect, right?:)
So, how do you feel here as a professional photographer? Much to learn?:)

Hello Paul,
Fantastic low POV with a beautiful rock and reflections in the water. Well done! Cheers,

A lovely scene in great depth from the half-moon to the rounded stone in the immediate FG Paul, an astonishing perspective, thanks to that wide angle lens of yours. Your filters also affect colour rather nicely, TFS it indeed my friend!

Hi Paul

Magbificent - the whole thing is expertly planned - I really like the kelp root which adds a magical touch.

Hallo Paul
Now what can I add to all that is already been said? Actually nothing, not because I don't have anything to say, because words are not needed. The image speaks for itself. It is a beautiful seascape as usual. The colours are wonderful. The mood terrific. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Wow, picture postcard quality!
