Hi Rick. What a fantastic looking animal. As you say he has smart hair. Taken with fine detail and such natural loking colours. You must have been fairly close to this Bison. I like the out of focus trees in the BG. well taken TFS.

He is huge!!! I guess his bulk helps him keep warm because it looks absolutely freezing there. A wonderful pose standing in the snow next to the frozen stream. I love his horns and his wonderful brown coat and black face.

Hello Rick,
An impressive shot of this massive animal, shown with excellent detail and beautiful natural colors. Perfectly exposed in what looks to be a very bright and sunny day. You can really see the thick and dence texture of his heavy coat. It's no wonder they can survive the extreme weather conditions they have to live in. Great photo!!

Hi Rick,
Great angle and cleverly composed with this powerful bison in its natural envirnment.It looks so placid just standing there minding its own business but I presume they are also unpredictable and dangerous like all large wild mammals.The snow makes for a interesting finish to the photo.Great shot and as they say in the comics " keep your distance".
