Hello friends in TE.

This moth was captured on my outside wall one evening. This moth might be Arctiidae (Tiger Moth). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

More pictures of this type of moth can be seen HERE:

Arctiidae is a large and diverse family of moths with around 11,000 species found all over the world, including 6,000 neotropical species.[1] This family includes the groups commonly known as tiger moths (or tigers), which usually have bright colours, footmen (which are usually much drabber), lichen moths and wasp moths. Many species have 'hairy' caterpillars which are popularly known as woolly bears or woolly worms.

Salam Jusni,
nicely composed shot of this moth. The head part is very very sharp and the fine hairs could be seen in great sharpness.
The colours are lovely and the contrast of your yellow wall is good to highlight the beauty of this tiny cutie.

Hi Jusni,

I get moths on my wall too but nothing that looks like this! The colors are so unusual for a moth - at least they would be here. Very clear shot with excellent details. I would love to see this one with opened wings.
