[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

This time maybe a bit unusual photo from me, but Miss Micro and her sisters (wearing the scientific name Mycena pseudocorticola Kühner) were so small that I was unable to make a macro from closer with my compact camera. Although I was quite glad - this was the 1st time I saw this species.

Mycena pseudocorticola Kühner is belonging to the Supinae section of the genera, which has 6 species in Europe. Each are very-very small and living on bark of living trees (this species on deciduous trees, but for example Mycena juniperina on junipers and cypress.

Photo: nothing extraordinary at all. Using of tripod / gorillapod was impossible, so I had to use flash. PP: crop, selective sharpening on some caps, framing, re-sizing.

Thanx for stopping by and commenting. Cheers, László

Hi Laszlo

Maybe that there isn't anything extraordinary about your picture, as you say, but the truth is that it is pleasant. Those little white umbrellas that are decorating the tree trunk look so beautiful, it's somehow a kind of different Christmas tree. It's also interesting to notice that this was the first encounter with this species for you.

Kind regards

Witaj Wladyslaw,
I haven't met such species on the wood. I think that is this trunk of alder-tree. Maybe I'll find this species when I'll be to carefully watch trees.
Regards, Pawel

Hi Bareatom:) -a mixture of Hungarian and Cypriot*
Unusual but also inspiring macro capture with your compact toy MF, the details and focus look incredible. i am sure extension tubes works well in such conditions with a DSLR body+macro lens team.
TFS this MF. I am sure it was not easy to take!
Have a great week!

Hello Laszlo Friend,
They are really tiny fungi, very curious, obviously you've had difficulties with the approach, but the result is good. I like the POV, can use tree bark as a basis for projecting the picture. Good work. TFS, regards from Venezuela, happy week for you!

Siemanko Wladek !
Great macro, not yet I could see these small mushrooms, last year I also came across small mushrooms, but they were brown and they grew in the down and moss grew on the stone.
I am greeting Slawek.

hello my friend Laszlo,

"keep photographing!" TFS

Hi Laszlo,
Great perspective and good exposure showing interesting details and nice tonal range.

Hi Laszlo,

I like this one. They are very little but you have managed a good exposure and the whole pictire filled with fungi.
Fine colours.

Hullo Laszlo,
If I lived in Hungary I would live in the forests and just write fairy tales with all this beautiful and stunning fungi around me. Very well done and tfs.

Hi Vladyslav.
It is really a charming species. And I am glad that it is not macro shot. We have a nice idea about surroundings. Very delicate reproduction of these small charming mushrooms as well as great details of the bark of the tree. Very impressive work. Thanks a lot and kind regards.

Hi My Friend Laszlo,
well textured tree bark gives an exciting background to these small fungi. The contrast is so well taken care that presnts a pleasant view.
These new species for you is well executed.
