|The Waddi Waddi tree (Acacia Peauce)or Birdsville Wattle as it is also known is found in only a limited area around Birdsville (in outback Queensland) and the nearby Simpson Desert. It has an extremely hard dark purple timber that has been prized by wood workers. It is a very rare tree that likes gibber (stone) flats, sometimes between the ridges of sand dunes.|
