Hi again friends,

I've just returned from another shot trip to some little mountains here in my region, a trip that gave me a nice chance to test my very new Hitech filters. I bought a set of normal grads and one reversed grad, and mainly tested the latter, being very curious how it works.
I was luck to have caught a lovely sunrise - well not one literary, since the eastern part was covered by more hills - but looking west the clouds really came to life and gave me a charming setting for a good test.
This photos was taken with the reversed one and i think looks much closer to the actual setting than if shot with a regular grad. The upper part is lighter as it should be since it's higher and better lit by the morning sun rays.

I know the composition isn't really all that good - being 50-50 and all, but i really couldn't bring myself to cutting neither the little ferns nor the clouds :)

Hope you'll like it, thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Buna Horia!
O imagine excelenta, dupa umila mea parere!
Toate cele bune,
Oana

Hello Horia,
a most beatiful deep view over the wide rolling hills under a clouded sky.
Precious time of the day in May captured in delightfully subtle pastel colours of pink, blue, and green. Very fine, aestetically highly pleasing work, taken with a very high level of technical precision, and vibrant emotional engagement. The composition is well conterbalanced and perfect with its elements just as it is, not a single cloud or a single fern to be cropped without damage - as you say.
Thank you! With best regards,
Peter

Dear Horia,
I think it is a beautiful refreshing Landscape - and if I could have the original - I would frame it tomorrow (we are moving house, and I change the decorations...)

"I know the composition isn't really all that good" - I think, the criteria which matters - is that is a REAL PLEASURE to view your image! The colours are gorgeous (I feel like chewing a bit of the fern)the view relaxing, and the first rays of the rising sun at 5 am declaring it a bit of a chilly morning in the mountains; cannot yet lie on the ground and wathc the clouds...

Hi Horia,
The light in this photo is so beautiful. It really has that something extra that I love the see day in day out. It has warmth but also room for cool colors and hues. Of course the view over the fresh grasses and ferns is stunning. I can imagine that standing there at that moment gave you that "yes, I got" feeling.

I really don't mind the placement of the horizon, both landscape and clouds draw me into the photo without giving it a static feel.

TFS,
Niek
