A brilliant capture of this tiny Beetle on a pretty Scabious flower. Excellent details and lovely natural colours. I've got a capture of the same or similar one that I named Cordylepherus viridis - but I gather they're very similar indeed.

Bonjour Anne,
A superb macro of both the Scabiosa and the small beetle. It is difficult to ID this as there are very similar species but you may be right in that it is Malachius. The technical quality is first class with fine colours and sharpness and the composition and BG superb.

Lovely flowers with fine viewpoint showing its symmetry (like a crown) and colors against neat background. The Beetle really a jewel in the crown. tfs.

Hi Anne,

A very nice macro of this metalic green, tiny beetle. He looks like he is wating for just the right opportunity to feed with nectar. The colorful flower is incredible also.

Good shot of this beautiful flower and the beetle is a bonus. In this case the central position of the flower in the shot works well as the off centre bettle allows the eye to travell around teh image. Good DOF and OOF background.

prima di tutto complimenti per le varie immagini che hai presentato in questo periodo, sempre superlative le immagini dei fiori, soprattutto a livello compositivo, forse manca un po' di definizione in quella della Veronica comune; la Polissena è molto bella con colori resi perfettamente, forse un po' troppo "sharp"; mi piace moltissimo questa "girandola", perfetta ed armoniosa in ogni elemento e in ogni più piccolo dettaglio, mi aspetto che si alzi un po' di venticello e si metta a girare ......
