Hi again,

Here's one of the snakes i've came across during our filed trips this year.
It's a Smooth snake - Coronella austriaca - a female, that was calm enough to let me maneuver around her and take a few shots.
It was a good chance to test my new hand-made diffuser that i've created from cardboard and plain paper. It's not that elaborate - just an extension of the Omni-Bounce diffuser i had that makes the illuminated surface larger and more...well...diffused :)
I mounted this "contraption" on my 430 Speedlight and used it off-camera with the Canon cord.

Hi Horia,
this is a perfect example to show the meaning of DOF ;-) The focus is only at the middle part of the shot, the front and the back are blurred and give the illusion of speed and action.

Photographed with an artistic eye. I like how the DOF decides the point of interest guiding the viewer to were the photographer intended. Overall exposure settings are perfect. Well done Horia. :)
