Hi Nick,
thanks for this post.
I have seen this bug several times this springtime and I always asked myself what bug this could be. So I'm interested to hear from the others if your ID is right.
You captured it very good and in a nice pose with a pretty blurred BG.
Thanks, have a nice day

Hi Nick,

Nice macro shot of this beetle.
The detail on the head is very good but further down the body it does seem to get a bit soft.
Good vertical framing and a nice OOF background.
Good capture and TFS

Ciao Nick, lovely beetle on a beautiful blurry BG, wonderful matural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Wow! Nicholas Friend,
I do not know the ID!, But I assure you is one of the best photographed beetles I've seen! congratulations! perfect DOF, BG beautiful, impressive level of light! ... and a resounding POV! ... you are doing so well with insects, as you do with your magnificent birds!
THANKS for sharing! Regards, have a nice week MF!

Hello Nick,
Whatever the scientific name, it should be known colloquially as the brown pole-sitting beetle. Good details against the BG. Maybe could have been a bit brighter in post-processing? Thanks.

Hello Nicholas!
Very nice capture of beetle, but not bean beetle or even not a member of Bruchidae family. This is a species of Elateridae, unfortunatelly as for now I can not help you with species ID (maybe tomorrow at work :>).
All the best,

Hello Nick,
These are not easy to photograph but you did very well with the antennae sharply in focus. A nice contrasting background and well composed. I think I've seen the same species here but I've not managed to capture it.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Nick,
A nice macro of a Click Beetle that I think is Lacon murinus. This POV shows most of its features against a nice diffuse green BG in a pleasing composition.
Thanks and kind regards,

Hi Nick.
Nice to see your macro shots. Very attractive scene, excellent sharpness and details of the cute insect. I also like wonderful smooth and colourful BG. Natural lighting is used perfectly. Do you like your camera as equipment for macro shooting? My warm greetings and TFS.
