hello friends, this is my first landscape photo
a scenery from the Laurentians north of Montréal

from the Portal of Québec website

« Located North of Montreal, the area owes
its name to historian François-Xavier Garneau
who named it in 1845. The "Laurentians"
place-name reminds us that the mountains
lie parallel to the St.Lawrence River. The area
covers close to 22 000 square kilometers.

The Laurentians extend-West to East, from the
limits of the Outaouais area to the boundaries
of the Lanaudière and the Mauricie areas. They are
only minutes away from Montréal and Laval.

Water: A source of Work and Leisure
The forestry development started about
1835 and the first sawmills appeared at the
end of the 1870's. Today, the rivers and
the lakes (more than 4500) of the area are
nature lover's delights and sporting activities
are the main attractions. »

My yesterday's butterfly photo was shot
not far (few hundred meters) from that place.

This will be my last upload until i do new photos

Merci

Asbed

Hello Asbed,
Another first for you, and a truly fine one at that. Love the composition and low POV you chose. The water shows good movement and the colors are both vivid and beautiful. Simply love it as well as your butterfly photo. TFS.

MOST BEAUTIFUL INDEED!!!
Mario.

Salut Asbed
I love your country, I love Quebec, I love your photo.

The river - appearing from nowhere - the little waterfall in the back add interest to the image, and one wonders what one finds around the corner.

The colours are vibrant, and I like the exposure you have used to show the speed of the water.

Have a nice evening, here Soccer World cup fever is reigning,
Salutations from South Africa
Bonne Nuit
Ingrid

Hi Asbed,
Your 1st landscape's something I shouldn't like to miss, so I'm here again. :) Excellently composed and exposed shot, great natural colors, and the whole pic's living - I almost hear the voice of the creek... You should do more landscape photos, because this one's simply perfect. Bravo mon ami.
Merci, best regards, László

Hi Asbed,
beautiful landscape. I like them a lot. Nice colours. Great composition - green trees and blue stream. Thank you for sharing,
Maciek

Bonjour Asbed,
