Da's een indrukwekkend monster,
gave plaat met goede scherpte
Het fototoestel gaat net zo goed als de viool
Fantastic shot, Stef, you captured this May beetle in a pretty pose and with good sharpness.
Also fresh and natural colours. On TN it is important that you also write a note to explain what you are showing, or why, or how you did it ... You will always find good help in Wikipedia to describe the May beetle.
Thanks, very good shot, greetings from the rainy Germany

What a rare beetle!
Correct POV and a good enough light, good color and balance. TFS, Regards, Happu week for you! TFS
This is one great image with clear details and lovely colours. I like the composition, the point of view, the clarity of hairs on the body and the lovely green background. BUT where is the notes or information about this lovely insect? Please try to supply some kind of identification the next time around. It would be wonderful to know what we are looking at. Other to that I enjoyed the sight of this large insect. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

A lovely photo of this beetle, Stef. He is a giant! We call these May bugs in the UK, and although they are not harmful, they make such a noise when they clatter about in flight. The grubs are a real nuisance for gardeners, as they feed on the roots of several plants; so when I am in the UK, I don't like finding these in my garden :)
Warm greetings, Amelia
