Hi Folks , today I have this in-flight image of a tree swallow making runs along the river to catch flies , I would guess either stone-flies or may-flies had the attention of the swallows on this day.

this photo was one that I worked for , I took many shots to manage just one decent image of a flying swallow.

though my miss rate for these swallows was very high , the opportunity was wonderful anyways , there where many of them out fly catching and seemingly indifferent to flying by very close to me , more than a couple of times I felt a need to duck :-) , it was also some good practice for trying to lock on to such fast moving birds.

thanks for having a look
regards

Hi Art

Brilliant shot of this swallow. Perfect sharpness and in-flight capture. Great result.

Chris

WOW! Amazing capture of the Tree Swallow in flight. I can't imagine how you managed to capture it as swallows in flight are very difficult to focus on.:)
You have doone a brilliant job!

I love the colour of this bird. Great detail in the wings, that are fully extended. Good POV

Hi Art,
this beautiful tree swallow really impresses me. Yo did an incredible job rendering it in all fine details while in flight, and with the light, background etc. just right! What an achievement, my congratulations.

Hi Art,
This is one very impressive in flight image, with superb quality. These guys are so fast I am not sure how you managed to make this capture, but you must have immense patience to go along with your great camera skills. Thanks for sharing Art.

Hi Art.
It is really wonderful and rare of quality in-flight picture of a cute small bird. I am impressed a lot. Pictured moment and pose of the bird (its wingspread). Exposure and colour reproduction, timings and sharpness of an image of the bird are outstanding. Bravo. Great work.
Alexei.

Bonsoir Art,

Excellent action shot. Sharp and perfectly exposed, bird postion and wing span looks great. Neutral BG help to isolate the subject. Nice luminous color on the bird. The spot behind the bird is a little ennoying, but it's not that bad. Can be easily removed with the PS patch tool. Great shot and TFS.
