Larus cachinnans
Larus gulls are big sized gulls and are distinguished by their large size, white head, underparts & tail. Strong yellow bill with red gonydeal spot & dark primaries tipped with white. These are wintering birds from the Indian subcontinent. They show very subtle differences from other species of this genus and are very difficult to distinguish in the field. |
