Hi again everyone

I'm back from another field trip but sadly i couldn't bring back very many nice and interesting shots as the weather has been very bad...hope to have better luck next time :)

Until then, as my dear friend Paul Haynes (PaulH) posted a nice poppy photo, i thought i'd do the same and share with you a picture form the beginning of this month, when the beautiful vivid red filled our lands here. I found this spot here very nice and despite the cloudy weather i could take many nice shots of the poppies as there was very little wind. Also, i saw this single thistle that stood out from the "crowd" and i focused some shots on it as well.

Hope you'll like it, thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

hi horia, fantastic landcape picture...excellent colours and sharpness...thank you...

Welcome back, my friend Horia!
You have done it again! Like always - you show not just a landscape:a field of poppies!

In the foreground - as a curtain opener - the tiny flowers, which look like Chamomile (?)the little yellow heads, surrounded by white petals, like the corps the ballet surrounding the prima ballerina - a purple thistle.

And in the background the big choir: THE POPPIES! sprawling to the horizon.

The blue/grey sky framing this beautiful picture.

A brilliant idea, perfectly executed!

I wish a had a better command of English to describe how I feel about this artistic creation.

Have a nice evening

Excelent peisajul acesta! Imi plac detaliile din primul plan si cerul !
Am incercat sa aflu detalii despre filtrul folosit de tine, si nu prea am gasit! Ce este de fapt?

O wow, Horia, this place is so beautiful, red red red, as far as we can see, I love it.
Don't be sad about the weather, the sky looks very pretty this way.
I realy love this shot, very well done, thanks

Very captivating shot Horia. I love the way you centered the purple flower in the foreground. It's a beautiful scene with a very nice skyline. The shot has wonderful clarity throughout and the colours are rich. TFS Trevor

Hallo Horia
Ahhh, this can only be heaven I am seeing in front of me. The view is just fantastic, the flowers blooming in all their splendour. Just imagine all the photographic oppertunities there will be when one start to walk through a field like this. Not only different types of colourful flowers, the insect life in between, the stones and rocks, the greenery in between and then to end of a striking sunset just like Paul shared yesterday. Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

A perfect wild flower meadow of poppies, mayweed and probably vetch Horia. I love the way the poppies seem to go on for ever right to the muted horizon. Beautifully composed, delightful to look and the centrepiece of the thistle has made my day; I am a Scot!

Warm wishes, Amelia

Hello Horia,
this is a splendid view. Very well seen in details and dramatic composition. the poppy field is stunning to me, and the wide angle makes this composition so dramatic and stylish.
well done.

Salut Horia
Prima data cand am vazut imaginea asta, am ras!

Numai bine,

Hi, dear Horia.
I am also rare guest here and we have rainy weather only. However, I have many nice shots taken before but have not time to share them.

I am very glad to see your new picture, which reflect the beauty of your places. Despite the cloudy sky shot is full of vivid lights and attractive plants. As usual nice work of wide angle lens and fine POV and composition. MY warm greeting s and TFS.

Hi Horia,
OK you won the flower count with ease. The view into the distance with so many little red dots is amazing. I am sure that I am not able to find something like this in my country. The use of the single thistle is a great one, it breaks up the pattern and adds that bit extra in the FG. The striaght horizon gives a nice break between the red landscape and the blue grey sky.

Hi again,
Beautiful lanscape shot, with a field full of poppy and that one thistle stuck in between really standout against the rest. The cloudsy sky adds to the mood of the atmosphere. I like it. Beautiful and dramatic
