[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is a place just off the coast of Scotland which is ruled by the gannets and the gulls. The man has left the lighthouse a few decades ago and the birds have taken over to create the largest gannet colony in the world (about 50,000). This place is known as Bass Rock.

Gannets can dive into the water at speeds of 90mph stunning the fish below the water.

Hello Dan,
Fantastic close sharp detailed photo of this Gannet in flight. In the blacks and whites the details are very good. Splendid bright colours with a very beautiful blue sky in the BG. An excellent composition.
Regards,
Peter

Hallo Dan
This is really a smacker, not only is the colours of the overall image truly awesome, the scene is just right. I really fancy this bird, as it is perfectly shaped and ever so beautiful. The detail around the eye has a lot of attraction to it and you have captured it so well. Your presentation is spot on, with great sharpness and pleasant to look at. It stole my heart for beauty. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards.
Anna
