[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Red-Gum Swamp is a lake only occasionally filled with water. In the perfectly flat area red-gums have grown for thousands of years. It is classic red-gum territory. The trees are flooded only on occasions. The rest of the time the deep roots seek the water in the swamp area. Dawn light adds blueness to the area via fog as well as the beams of warm light on frosted ground. It's cold. It's still but the sound of thousands of cockatoos flying off to morning feeds is heard. One of my favourite places.
A 400 mm lens compresses distances but still there are unexplored depths to go.

Hi Barry,
I just discovered your poetic and moody landscape by chance. The eerie blue atmosphere , the perfectly flat ground, all very special. No inkling of frost, though. Thanks for capturing such a moment, Barry.
