Wingspan c. 26mm.
The only record to date of this attractive species in Britain was at Portland, Dorset in August 2003.
The species occurs across southern and central Europe, becoming scarcer further north, and frequents open, rocky habitats. There are two generations, typically with adults flying in April-June, then again in July-September.
The larva feeds on a number of plants including stonecrop (Sedum) and thyme (Artemisia), in a spinning.
