[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of my many South African TrekNature friends once told me that a young impala is called a penkop in Afrikaans. Might be Robin. This impala is not captured in KNP as you can't find it there.
It's photographed at the western side of southern Africa; in Namibia's Etosha. Nevertheless I want to dedicate this Black-faced penkop to Robin.

The file size isn't what it should be; I,m working with new tools and should be in bed right now.;]

Thanks for viewing...

Hello Annick,
Very nice picture (perhaps it is a portrait of ...) impala. I like it here a natural border with green, and perhaps thorny branches in the background.
Great work, photography worked well.

This image is awesome. It is incredibly clear and sharp with great colors and a very nice composition.

Bon soir Annick,
Welcome back with this black faced young Impala Bock.

At that age they are lots of fun to observe, as they are playing and jumping around like young goats.

I have never seen a black-faced impala in nature but love Impalas (I raised / bottle fed two on the farm...) - to me they are the most elegant antelope!

I notice, that the animal in your photo has black spots on the neck and the body and have observed this before on black faced Springboks.

A great portrait, thank for showing it to us.

Bonne soiree and Bonne Nuit

Dear Annick!

I don't quite understand why this superb portrait has not got more attention. The pose of the animal is magnificent and the lighting as well as the colour management have created a delicate atmosphere. I only regret the copyright signature which, from my point of view, is a disturbing element.

Kind regards

Very nice Annick, I especially like the natural framing here.
Exposure & color look great with the soft light, excellent detail/DOF.
I will do a WS and use the Viveza 2 on that light area near its side..if you don't mind :)

Hi Annick,
Heb deze ook gemist toen ik even een weekje op vakantie was. Fantastische foto in een prachtige close-up. Hij staat als in een schilderijtje tussen het groen. Perfecte compositie. Super scherp en erg mooie natuurlijke kleuren.
