Hello Ron,
Taking a chance in the darkness of the forest paid dividends with the use of flash.
The sharpness, colours and POV are all great in this shot of an Eastern Chipmunk that posed in a fine way. Nice catchlight in the eye from the flash too.
Thanks and have a good week,
Ivan

Hi Ron!
A totally different post from your last ones. I like that cute little fellow very much and it's interesting to read how close he let you get to him. The flash creates a particular, not unpleasant effect as if it would be night.
Kind regards
Markus

Hi Ron MF,
Cute capture of the chipmunk checking his surroundings. Great usage of the flash (?) and I think a bit more open aperture may have made this a bit sharper, but still a fine apture and I like the pose.
TFS and have a great new week!
Cheers,
Bayram
Hi Ron,
You did a top notch job with the flash - beautiful color, textures and details - even a catchlight in his eye. I love the little ears, the whiskers and the tail wrapped around his body. Even his "toe nails" are sharp and clear. A wonderful setting in the deep woods and an outstanding composition.

Hi Ron,
what a lovely and cute animal you have been photographed.
Good low pov with much details.
Fine colours.
Hi Ron,
Nice job of capturing this image in the dark of the woods. It did pose nicely, must be an aspiring star. ;-)
Nice job of getting this normally shy animal, very nice detail and color too. They're my favorite rodent, but have never tried photographing them as they usually duck and run as soon as I see them.

Dear Ron,
A great document of Animal Behaviour. I also have noticed, that our modern, electronic flash does not appear to disturb wild animals.
Even more interesting, as much as antelopes are aware of noises - a really big noise i.e. low flying fighter plane - was completely ignored by the animals, whereas I felt like throwing myself onto the ground!!
Your focus is great, and every individual hair visible.
Do they always sit in this way i.e. the front paws off the ground?
Have a nice evening
Warm Greetings
Ingrid
