Hi Trekkers,

A cute little beauty from me today, named Bisporella citrina. Although it seems a very small "cup fungus", not closed relatives of them, because belongs to Helotiales order, not to Pezizales.

Photo: doing the shot was quite challenging, because it's one of the smallest fungi I ever photographed + shot was taken in a deep canyon (see workshop) without too much light. Using tripod was impossible due to the big stones and rotting logs, so I had to open to f/2.8, although I wanted to use f/8 (the smallest the HP PhotoSmart R817 compact toy knows). One of the logs I managed to use as a monopod, fortunately. PP: selective sharpening, noise reduction, contrast +8, framing, signing, re-sizing.

In spite of the f/2.8 I hope you like the pic somehow - this species was on my wish-list for many years.

Hello MF Laszlo,
this is an exciting perspective of the yellow fungi. The long stream of theme on the wood really gives a good capture.
You have shown something exciting, the trailing of yellow on the dark background.

Hi Laszlo. You are the master in creating nature's art. I like how the focus is being shallowed creating fine perspective and yet tact sharp focus where it matters. The natural tone with popping yellow cute buddies are just perfect in the frame. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day. Greetings from hot and humid Malaysia - Jusni.

Your color and exposure look excellent Laszlo, and the small cup fungus stands out nicely in the frame.
Great comp with the diagonal aspect, I like the POV also.
You adapted your technique well under the conditions you describe,
Well done :)

Hello Laszlo,
Your Bisporella citrina fungis seem to be very tiny amd to take a picture in a not well lit place was a real challenge. You succeded quite well, the picture looks natural and gives a good view on these fungi-gathering on a log.
Thanks to present all these various species of your country.
Have a nice Sunday
Kind regards

Hi Laszlo.
This species is very cute you are right. Their shapes, colours and arrangement are charming. You managed to show their beauty perfectly. Diagonal composition, low POV, dark low key of image execution are very impressive. Details of the fungi as well as blurriness of the surroundings are amazing. Well done and best wishes.
P.S. I am very pleased with your wonderful comments. It is great gladness to me.

Hy Laszlo
A beautiful capture of this thiny fungi! Very good clarity, strong colors.
Kind regards,

Hi Bareatom,

I really like the subtle lighting and selective focus in this composition providing a more atractive 3-D effect. The mushrooms on FG are very sharp, and the stands out nicely from the blurred background. A professorial and professional presentation my friend! Well done!
