[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The title of this is " aapi'si " is the Blackfoot Nations name for the Coyote. These creatures have always impressed me with their cleverness, adaptability and strength. They thrive even in the face of adversity, mostly brought on them by man. They are opportunists when it comes to food which gets them in trouble with cattlemen and farmers, who see them as a threat to their livelihood. They mostly do good for farmers though as they feed on mice and other rodents keeping their numbers in check. Watching a coyote in the wild is an amazing sight as they are very intelligent and seem to be thinking all the time. If you ever get a chance just have a watch, they will open your eyes I think as much as they have opened mine.

Hi Rick,

Beautiful shot in a beautiful light.
I had an encounter with coyotes awhile ago in Arizona. They were a "pack" of four and we suddenly met after a sharp curve on a mountain trail so they didn't sense me and nor do I till we were face to face at about 10 ft. They ran so quickly that I didn't have a chance even to move my camera...

Hi Rick,
I like your coyote image. I like how the coyote is looking off into the distance with those big yellow eyes. I especially like your notes. Humans have been trying to eraticate them in this country for 200 years and havn't even came close. They are smart and keep evolving one step ahead of man.
Well done,
Denis.

Rick,
LOVE YOUR NOTE.
The image too is fabulous!!!
Though taken on 11th. Nov. [A VERY COLD DAY AROUND MH.] the sunshine on the subject gives us a feeling that this critter is sunbathing in Hawaiiiiiiii. Ha, ha.
Thanks for your GREAT kindness towards Rod.
The best of the best to you and ALL your loved ones from,
m.
