[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is again the shell of the Queen Conch or the Giant Pink Conch (Strombus gigas), best known from the tropical waters of Florida and West Indies, and I promise, this is my last posting of the species!
I tried to display here the shell from its posterior side, or apical pole, which shows its moderately long spire from its apical tip (rather eroded in this slightly weathered shell) downwards, towards its anterior body whorl and strongly flared and enlarged outer lip of its aperture (please refer to my former posting), which is partly visible at the lower right of the image. The short, blunt and robust spines projecting from the shoulders of the whorls are quite evident in this perspective, together with some of the coarse spiral ridges.
The shell was photographed under directional ambient daylight -open-shade conditions- coming from top left, a contra placed white cardboard passive reflector provided some fill-in light for the flared lip region, a black BG was utilized.

at last a picture from you, we missed them...TFS Ori

Hello Mr. Mehmet,
As always you do with the shells, completely full picture of shapes and structures, floating in a contrasting black background! Small piece of art here, indeed!
Regards, TFS, Jesús

Ciao Mehmet. Intrigant refined one in fine details. Excellent work MF!

Merhaba Mehmet,
I liked the two other views but this must be the most artistic way of presenting Strombus gigas. The composition is excellent and very pleasing to the eye, especially with the side lighting showing up the contours to produce an almost three-dimentional effect.
Superb my friend and thanks for sharing this artistry,

Hi Mehmet
Fantastic photo with impressive composition, wonderful colours and great sharpness.

Dear Mehmet,
another preciously well made, exquisite presentation in your fascinating gallery of mollusc housings. Can't see enough of that famous Queen Conch when it is shown in such a precise way from a very deliberately chosen point of view that allows to see the laws of organic growth in a delightfully artistic way. A symphony of shapes evolving - and of extremely subtle, delicious colours, too. Thank you!
With best regards,
