This year more than 300 rhino have been killed for their horns and we hear of more killings daily.
sadly, the value of the horns is more that the value of a rhino. The horns are smuggled out to Eastern countries and used as a powerful medicine or aphrodisiac.

So, take a good look at this picture I took in Kruger National Park. Soon, pictures will be all we will be able to look at if the killings continue.

Its so sad tohear that there are peole who will kill these amazing animals just for their horn.
Great composition.


Agree with Chris. Really sad that so many were killed by these criminals in South Africa in 2010.
Pity about the shadows but still a good capture.I like the little oxpecker on the adult.
