|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This is a photo of a pure stock culture of a fecal pathogen on a hecton enteric agar plate. These pathogens fall into what is known as the gram negative catagory. The hectone plate limits the growth of some bacteria while aiding in the identification of certain specific pathogens. I mentioned this is a stock culture. These are used to assess the performance of the Hectone media. In additionj they are used to assess the quality control performance of identification and suseptibility procedures.|
