|One of the things that really astounded me on my first trip to Lake Huron last year was the colour of the water. The warm colour was misleading, however -- this water was cold enough to zap the intestines all the way from the toes if one dared (as I did) to put one foot in the water!|
My friend was trying to show how tough he was, walking in shirts and a T-Shirt while I shivered in my sweatshirt jacket in the high winds!

Good to see you returning to TN, Silke.
The sunny aspect of this view of the lake certainly suggests warmth, but your description says the water was chillingly cold.
Still, it is a beautiful landscape image in vertical orientation.
Thanks and regards.

Hi SIlke,a very nice and different way to show a lake that...and i like it.Nice and simple composition whit a fantastic sharpness and natural colors too.The water seems come from caribbean sea..ehehe...Thanks for share, have a nice day,Luciano
This image reminds me of the sea, just a few kilometers away from us, but which we sadly do not visit, out of fear for being mugged or attacked. Although this is a basic image, it is indeed a beautiful and most relaxing one to look at. I very much like the path leading to the ocean, the different colours of blue's in the water and the blue in the sky that compliment the picture beautifully. Lovely! Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Simple yet interesting photo, not an everyday "lakescape" - and my first impression was this lakeside must be a paradise for ammophile (= "sand-lover") fungi. Clear and pleasant capture with great colors and sharpness. Congrats & tfs.
Friendly regards, László
