The Northern Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus), also known as the Peewit, Green Plover or (in the British Isles) just Lapwing, is a bird in the plover family. It is common through temperate Eurasia. It is highly migratory over most of its extensive range, wintering further south as far as north Africa, northern India, Pakistan, and parts of China

Hello Erel
Nice shot with fine colors and good eye contact. I think the photo would have been better if you had shot from a lower point of view. It is still a good shot.

Excelente foto Erel. A mi zona vienen en invierno, supongo que cuando en
el Norte de Europa hace muchÝsimo frio. Naturalidad impresionante en los
colores. Un excelente trabajo.

Very detailed photo of the lapwing. In my pages, in the marshes of the Biebrza River, arrives a lot of them in early spring.

Hi Erel,
Excellent picture with lots of beauty, quality and atmosphere. The sheen on the feathers and the highlight in the eye really gives life to this photo. Well done and best wishes.

PS: Would you nature lovers like to share in the amazing experiences and images of three men from here riding their motorcycles for 13500 Km up the length of Africa? Visit their Cape-to-Cairo website at http://threefarmersandagreek.wordpress.com.

They have covered more than 10 000 Km now and have run into rather serious trouble with a passport having been stolen.
