Please, do not be too strict / harsh with me! It was the first time when I saw this species and I was really happy. But because I was not alone, I could not spend "hours" to wait and take hundreds of shoots. And because it was flying quite far (either higher up in the tress or sitting on rocks for very few seconds) I could not use my macro lens, so I used the telefotolens making a sort of "compromise": having some pictures in the detriment of quality. And I was more or less forced to crop the images to fill the frame some how with the butterfly.
Anyway….the idea behind this image is to enjoy every moment in the life and especially when you see for the first time in your life something exciting (such as a new species for you).

have a good evening,

ciao, tino

Your excitement is justified, Oana. This surely is a new species for me too. It is an exotic butterfly and your effort to capture it as best as you could is commendable.
The entire collage gives a fine impression of its unique features.
Well done and TFS.

Buna Oana,

Cezar.

Bonjour Oana,
I missed this one unfortunately. N. antiopa is a most beautiful butterfly, which we rarely see and it is normally quite difficult to catch it. Your posting is a well done assemblage, very fine and with beautiful natural colors. I understand your enthousiasm :-), I never was lucky enough to make a decent shot of this species.
Kind regards
Anne
