Wasn't there a pop group with this name?

Came across this lovely couple, male to the left, when driving to my marsh harrier stake-out. The sun wasn't really upp yet so I had to struggle with high ISO and low aperture to get a 1/80 shuttertime. Luckily they were quite close and i could shoot from the car using the window as a stabiliser. Many still were slightly blurred, but this one was ok. I choose it because it shows both the male and female with clear view on their faces

Hi Jeroen,
Excellent photo of this perdix perdix couple, TFS!

The colours of the birds match those of the habitat and it makes an interesting photo. At least one of the birds is in sharp focus and the other adds interest to the photo. regards yiannis

Hi Jeroen,
another nice photo of birds. I like this one with great sharpness, and another blurred.
Excellent composition.
Thanks for sharing,

Hello Jeroen
Am I right if I say that these birds ar Perdix perdix named «Perdrie grise in French and Gray Partridge in English». You were very lucky to have the couple in the same frame. In my opinion, the color of the birds mixes too much with the color of the background and the environment in general creating a lack of contrast. On the other hand, your note mentions a clear view on their faces. Allow me not ot agree with you. The face of the female is not clear at all.
In conclusion, this is quite a good shot because you got the couple in the same photo.

Regards from Québec

Hello Jeroen,
Excellent capture of these Grey Partridge in the field. Splendid colours and sharpness on the male. Thanks for sharing these.

Wonderful use of wide open aperture Jeroen ... that way you have managed to separate well camouflaged birds perfectly from the similarly colored background! The only thing that can be improved in my opinion here is the white balance and the contrast of the scene! I hope that you like the workshop my friend!

Hallo Jeroen,

I like this photo. The main subject is perfectly positioned on the left and it does not matter that the other one is out of focus.
Well done

very nice camouflaged cartridges, TFS Ori
